1963

Lawrence of Arabia was awarded best picture.  Martin Luther King delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech in Washington, DC.  Record of the year was "I Left My Heart in San Francisco." And the Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights won 27 of 31 contests, including the American Legion Nationals and the first World Open.  See the 1963 schedule and record of the Golden Knights, courtesy of Richie Jones.

Although many members are alumni of the junior and senior competing corps, the Golden Knights is not exclusively an alumni organization. There are no age limits, and we have several couples, parent-daughter/son and entire family groups as members. Our goal is to preserve the legacy of the Golden Knights while promoting friendship and camaraderie through our mutual interest: good old-fashioned Drum and Bugle Corps!

If you're interested in attending a rehearsal or performance or, even better yet, joining us in this noble pursuit, contact our director, Art Farrell, at 732-747-3041 or write to artidcat symbolcomcast.net.
